Keopsys EDFA C-Band Optical Amplifier
The Keopsys EDFA C-Band Optical Amplifier is a high-power, multi-stage Erbium-doped fiber amplifier designed for single-channel amplification in the C-band. It is particularly suited for scientific applications such as atomic cooling, Rubidium spectroscopy, nanotechnologies, and more.
Key Features:
- Output Power: Up to 42 dBm of saturated output power.
- Input Signal: Can operate with a weak input signal down to -20 dBm.
- Optical Noise Figure: Excellent optical noise figure and high optical signal to noise ratio at the output.
- Polarization Maintaining: Polarization maintaining option available even at 42 dBm output power.
- Stability: Built with several stages of amplification, making it very stable regarding power.
- Control Interfaces: Can be driven directly from the front face or via RS232/USB interface, and for power lower than 33 dBm, with RJ45 interface.
Applications:
- Scientific Research: Atomic cooling, Rubidium spectroscopy, nanotechnologies.
- Telecommunications: Long-distance optical communication where high power and low noise are critical.
Technical Specifications:
- Saturated Output Power: Up to 42 dBm.
- Input Power Range: Down to -20 dBm.
- Optical Noise Figure: Excellent, specific value not provided.
- Polarization: Maintaining option available.
- Control Interfaces: RS232, USB, RJ45 (for power < 33 dBm).
Availability:
- Benchtop and OEM Modules: Available in both forms, with the OEM modules controlled via RS232 for easy integration into complex systems.
Support:
- Installation: Easy to install, with a free, fast, and complete support provided by Lumibird if necessary.
