The LCO Central was a website created in in the early 2010s, by Paulo Jarschel, to serve as hub for:
- Instrument information
- Instrument guides and manuals
- A forum for students/researchers
- A system to control instrument usage, scheduling, and borrowing
- Remote control of some instruments
